Mayor Annisul still in ICU, condition stable

Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Annisul Huq, who was admitted to a hospital in central London after falling ill, is still at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) but he is in a stable condition now. Annisul is stable now but he is still unconscious, AKM Mizanur Rahman, assistant personal secretary of the mayor, told The Daily Star.

Annisul laid to rest

Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Annisul Huq was buried at Banani graveyard in the capital this afternoon. He was laid to rest beside the graves of his mother and son around 5:30pm amid hundreds of followers shedding their tears. Earlier, people from all walks of life, including ministers, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and political leaders paid their last tributes to the mayor.
