স্বাধীনতাবিরোধী মোনায়েম খানের বাড়ির জায়গায় হাসপাতাল নির্মাণ করা হবে বলে ঘোষণা দিয়েছেন ঢাকা উত্তর সিটি করপোরেশনের মেয়র আনিসুল হক। শনিবার রাজধানীর বনানীতে মোনায়েম খানের বাড়ির সামনে আয়োজিত এত মানববন্ধনে উপস্থিত হয়ে তিনি এই ঘোষণা দেন।
রাজধানী ঢাকার উন্নয়ন প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়নে পাঁচ হাজার কোটি টাকা থোক বরাদ্দ চেয়ে চিঠি দিয়েছেন ঢাকা উত্তর ও ঢাকা দক্ষিণ সিটি করপোরেশনের দুই মেয়র। নিজস্ব আয়ের উৎস কমে যাওয়ায় এবং নাগরিক সুবিধার আওতা বাড়ায় ব্যয় সংকুলান করতে এ অর্থ বরাদ্দ চেয়েছে দুই সিটি করপোরেশন।
তথ্য ও প্রযুক্তি কাজে লাগিয়ে রাজধানীকে বসবাসের উপযোগী করে তুলতে তরুণদের এগিয়ে আসার আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন ঢাকা উত্তর সিটি করপোরেশনের মেয়র আনিসুল হক।
রাজধানীতে শিশুদের জন্য হাতেগোনা যে ক’টি বিনোদন কেন্দ্র রয়েছে তার মধ্যে ‘শ্যামলী শিশুমেলা’ একটি। প্রতিদিন রাজধানীর বিভিন্ন এলাকাসহ আশপাশের এলাকা থেকে শিশুদের এ বিনোদন কেন্দ্রে নিয়ে আসেন অভিভাবকরা।
ঢাকা উত্তর সিটি কর্পোরেশনের মেয়র আনিসুল হক বলেছেন, নির্বাচনের সময় বুঝে না বুঝে হাজারো রকমের কমিটমেন্ট করে ফেলেছি। বলেছিলাম স্মার্ট সিটি বানাবো। আমি কখনো বুঝি নাই স্মার্ট সিটি কি জিনিস। বলেছিলাম যানজট থাকবে না, আমি জানতামই না যানজট নিরসন সিটি কর্পোরেশনের আওতায় পড়ে না। বলেছিলাম জলজট থাকবে না।
