Mayor Annisul Huq opens Airport foot-over bridge

The foot over-bridge at the Dhaka Airport intersection had been officially inaugurated yesterday. Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Huq formally opened the bridge. The bridge with escalators on both sides is the second of its kind in Dhaka. Banani has the first one.

Annisul Huq laid to rest at Banani

People from all walks of life attended his funeral prayers and bid the final farewell to the beloved mayor on Friday. President Abdul Hamid on Thursday night expressed shock at the death of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) first Mayor Annisul Huq. Annisul, who had been undergoing treatment at a hospital in London, passed away there at 4:23pm (London time) on Thursday at the age of 66.
