Former FBCCI president Annusul huq released his election manifesto at the capital’s Lotus-Kamal tower in Nikunja on Saturday morning.

He has emphasised on six points to make Dhaka a ‘liveable’ city.

Those are, clean, green and environment-friendly Dhaka, safe and healthy Dhaka, traffic-congestion free Dhaka, a centre of humanity, smart and digital Dhaka and participatory and well-governed Dhaka.

Annisul Huq, contesting with ‘table clock’ symbol, said due to the absence of an able coordinator, there was no coordination in the civic works.

“Even though the law entrusted the mayor with 28 different works, there are limitations to his legal authority. A mayor’s office has to depend on 65 different organisations to complete its tasks. It is only possible to provide desired services to the citizens when these organisations work hand in hand with the mayor’s office.”
