Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) remembered its former Mayor Annisul Huq on Monday, marking his third death anniversary.
On behalf of DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam, its Secretary Rabindra Sri Barua paid homage to the late mayor by placing a wreath at his Banani graveyard.
Besides, a milad and doa mahfil was arranged at DNCC Nagar Bhaban, seeking eternal peace of his departed soul.
Mayor Atiqul Islam said, “Annisul Huq had started some big tasks, but he could not finish them. We are trying to complete his unfinished tasks as soon as possible.”
He also said, “We have taken the city corporation’s services to the doorstep of city people and it was a really a challenging task.”
DNCC Chief Executive Officer Selim Reza, among others, spoke on the occasion.
