Dhaka north city’s former mayor Annisul Huq was remembered at his 3rd death anniversary on Monday.
Dhaka North City Corporation placed wreath at his grave at Banani and organised a doa and milad mahfil at Gulshan Nagar Bhaban marking the death of Annisul.
Serving mayor of the city Md Atiqul Islam said that the city people lost a visionary who worked relentlessly to implement the dreams, said a press release.
Annisul was always dedicated to the city people, said Atiqul, adding that he was committed to complete the incomplete work of the former mayor.
Wreath was placed at the grave of Annisul at Banani in the morning on behalf of mayor Atiq before a doa and milad mahfil at Gulshan Nagar Bhaban.
DNCC chief executive officer Md Selim Reza, the head of departments of DNCC and councillors, among others, were present at the milad mahfil.
Entrepreneur and television host Annisul died at a hospital in London on November 30, 2017 at the age of 65 while he was serving DNCC as mayor.
