The road from Karwan Bazar to Satrasta in the city’s Tejgaon area has been renamed Mayor Annisul Huq Sarak.
In the 21st board meeting of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on December 11 last year, the decision to change the name of the road was taken to pay tribute to late DNCC mayor Annisul Huq, said a press release of DNCC on Sunday.
Baridhara Park Road has been renamed Norodom Sihanuk Sarak and Gulshan 2 Rajuk Central Park Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Smriti Park, it said.
DNCC Mayor Annisul Huq passed away in a London hospital at the age of 65 on November 30 last year.
