A three-member delegation of the Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI) led by its President Selima Ahmad calls on Annisul Huq, Mayor of the Dhaka North City Corporation, at Nagar Bhaban at Gulshan in the capital on Sunday.
Women entrepreneurs have sought 10 percent quota at the markets under the city corporation.
A three-member delegation of the Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI) led by its President Selima Ahmad submitted some proposals to Annisul Huq, Mayor of the Dhaka North City Corporation for the development of women entrepreneurs, at Nagar Bhaban at Gulshan in the capital on Sunday.
Besides allocation of 10 percent quota for women entrepreneurs at each of the DCC markets, they suggested for arranging holiday markets for women entrepreneurs on every Friday and Sunday at each of the DCC market free of cost and also to set up women market in the city.
Mayor Annisul Huq appreciated the BWCCI for their recommendations and assured them that they will keep the idea in their consideration while establishment of new markets in the city area.
