On 30th May, it has been six months since the decease of iconic Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), Annisul Huq. Within less than half of his five-year tenure as a mayor he did many remarkable jobs to make Dhaka city greener, cleaner and free from pollution and traffic congestion. But due to his sudden death, he could not reach the estimated line he drew to make a better Dhaka city.
Prime Minister pays tributes to Annisul Huq
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has paid rich tributes to Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor late Annisul Huq as she visited the residence of the deceased in the city. "The prime minister went to Annisul Huq's Banani residence at about 2.45 pm and paid her profound homage to him," PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim informed, reports BSS.

Study Centre named after Annisul Huq at DIU
The authorities of Daffodil International University (DIU) announced plans to introduce a study centre named after late Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Huq and also an award in his honour. The university will introduce “Annisul Huq Study Centre” and “Daffodil Change Maker Award” to preserve the memory of Annisul Huq, says a press release.
