Mayor Annisul hospitalised in London
Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Annisul Huq is being treated at the intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital in London. Bangladesh High Commission’s Minister (press) Nadeem Qadir said that he has been diagnosed with cerebral vasculitis which is inflammation of the blood vessel wall involving the brain.
Annisul Huq remembered on 3rd death anniversary.
Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) remembered its former Mayor Annisul Huq on Monday, marking his third death anniversary. On behalf of DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam, its Secretary Rabindra Sri Barua paid homage to the late mayor by placing a wreath at his Banani graveyard.
Mayor Annisul Huq’s first death anniversary being observed
The first death anniversary of Dhaka North City Corporation mayor Annisul Huq is being observed today (Friday). Federation of the Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) holds a memorial discussion at its auditorium at 3 pm today (Thursday). Annisul, who had been undergoing treatment at a hospital in London, breathed his last there on November 30 at the age of 65.
Mayor Annisul Huq road turns into parking place of trucks!
Hundreds of trucks and other vehicles are parked illegally on both sides of Mayor Annisul Huq road in the capital's Tejgaon Industrial Area every day, turning into the whole area a parking place again. A group of influential grabbers have occupied roads and free spaces in the area and are keeping trucks, covered vans, pick-ups and other types of vehicles in a random way. As a result, movement of vehicles and pedestrians has become difficult on different roads around Tejgaon area.

They recalled the success stories that decorated Annisul’s life in business, cultural and administrative fields. Hosted by The Asian Age at a city hotel on Wednesday evening, a documentary on Annisul’s multidimensional life was shown at the beginning of the program illustrating his dedicated involvement with DNCC, cultural activities and business entrepreneurship.
President, prime minister mourn death of DNCC Mayor Annisul Huq
President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have mourned the death of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) first Mayor Annisul Huq. In a message of condolence tonight, he expressed profound shock at the death of Annisul, who won the City Election Poll on April 28 in 2015. "The nation has lost an eminent businessman, a successful industrialist and a politician in his death," the President said.
I’ll complete unfinished tasks of Annisul if elected mayor: Atiq
Awami League mayoral hopeful Atiqul Islam said he will complete the unfinished tasks of late mayor Annisul Huq if he is elected mayor in the Dhaka North City Corporation by-polls. He made the pledge while conducting a mass campaign in front of his office in Banani area of the capital on Thursday.
Mayor Annisul now ‘out of danger’
The condition of Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Annisul Huq, admitted to a hospital in central London, is stable. He is kept in close observation, AKM Mizanur Rahman, assistant personal secretary of the mayor told The Daily Star yesterday evening.
Annisul Huq moved to ICU again
Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Annisul Huq, undergoing treatment in a London hospital since August, has been taken back to the intensive care unit. Family members requested all his admirers and well-wishers to pray for his quick recovery. Annisul has been suffering from a neurological ailment (dizziness and lack of balance) for some time.
Mayor Annisul still under intensive care
North Dhaka Mayor Annisul Huq is still under intensive care at a London hospital more than two months into his admission to the hospital with complaints related to neurology. He would be kept there some more time before being shifted to a regular bed, said AKM Mizanur Rahman, assistant personal secretary to the mayor, quoting Annisul's son Navidul Huq who left for London yesterday.
